Neville Goddard – The Heart Of The Dreamer

12/1/1969

If you will imagine that you are the man that you want to be, the woman that you want to be, and do nothing to make it so…just imagine that you are that, and just actually walk as though you were, convinced that you are, do you know that in the twinkle of an eye things will happen. Things will change in the outer world. And then the ledger will change and you will see that it’s there. How? Let no one tell you that they know how. Your imagining created it…that created the change in the ledger. But it will come about in a very normal, natural way and when it happens in a natural way you may be inclined to credit the means employed rather than the imaginal act that did it. We always will say, “Oh, well, it would have happened anyway.” No, it would not have happened anyway for imagining creates reality. Without the imaginal act it could not have changed, it could not have happened. But when it happens, it always employs a normal, natural means. It’s not miraculous save to the individual who sees this radical change. But even he being normal in this world will then give all credit to the means employed rather than to the imaginal act that created the means and produced the end result.
